Tests conducted by the German Automobile Association have shown that very few “contactless” keys are truly secure. Is the worst to be feared in the future with the multiplication of connected cars?

“The security of connected vehicles is a very important issue, because they integrate more and more communication channels with the outside world (telecom links with other vehicles or with the cloud for multimedia services) and inside the vehicle (USB, Bluetooth, wifi…),” says Guillaume Duc, who co-directs the Connected Cars and CyberSecurity chair at Telecom Paris.
