Télécom Paris is one of the top 4 engineering schools in France, a member of Institut Mines-Télécom (IMT) and a founding member of the Institut Polytechnique de Paris (IP Paris). Created in 1878, it has since become the leading engineering school in digital technology in France. The teaching excellence and innovative pedagogy at Télécom Paris it at the heart of a unique ecosystem of innovation, built on the interactions between its initial and continuous education programs, its research center and its two business incubators.
Its research activity has been assessed by the HCERES (High Council for Evaluation of Research and Higher Education) as being exceptional in quality with publications in the best journals and conferences and has been granted the Carnot TSN accreditation (Telecom and Digital Society).
Its research covers the entire field of digital technology and develops expertise in six strategic areas Europe-wide, among which features digital confidence. Security and safety are studied at all hierarchical levels of systems: from the physical layer to applications, including mathematical tools, software layers, networks and societal aspects.
The Connected Cars and Cyber Security Chair was officially launched in October 2017, with 17 permanent researchers and the support of five major groups: Nokia, Renault, Thales, Valeo and Wavestone. The chairholders are professors-researchers Guillaume Duc and Houda Labiod.
